We are almost done with the bulk of our filming, only one shot is left to complete! My acting career has started to develop...into amazingness! Actually not really I'm not that great but our film is about symbolism! Not all that stupid acting crap!...Just kidding the acting is actually pretty important....we'll just do what all those big action movies do....special effects out that wazoo. Nobody will notice that our actresses are sub par.
So anyways now that you know how our filming is going let's talk business, or at least the actual shooting of the movie part. So we went to the beach last week to shoot that scene where Megan a.k.a. Friend #1...Actually I don't even think we named Megan...WAIT...I think her name was Sarah...actually no, that was someone else's movie....I guess we'll just refer to her as Friend #1...So where Friend #1 spreads Penelope's ashes after she dies. This was probably the most awkward scene to shoot ever. Megan put ashes from her dad's grill in a bag and these "ashes" were supposed to be Penelope. So we take this plastic bag out full of ashes and charcoal as all of these hot surfer guys walk by...They probably thought we were freaks...If I had walked by just then I would have thought we were freaks. I mean here's three girls in rolled up jeans and makeup laughing as they take out this bag of "ashes" and try to pour it into a fake urn. I think the most awkward part about the whole thing was it was so difficult to remove the big pieces of charcoal. So Megan/Friend #1 would try to throw Penelope into the wind and then a big chunk of Charcoal/Penelope would come flying out...Penelope was very chunky, even after she died.
Another thing, THE OCEAN WAS FREEZING COLD, but it was okay because after like five minutes my legs went numb and I couldn't feel the cold anyways. But even through the wind and the sand and the ashes we got it done. And then we went to Angie's afterwards, supa delish. Seriously though, it was so freaking awkward when people would walk by...so freaking awkward.
